Helpers! You showed up for community, who shows up for you?

Helping the Helpers is a program built for young Indigenous frontline workers who are ready to grow — as helpers, as people, and as the leaders they may not yet know they are.

Is this you?

You're somewhere between 18 and 35. You're doing meaningful work — in health, social services, education, youth programming, community development — and you genuinely care about your people.

But the path can be a lonely one. The training you received didn't prepare you for everything you're carrying. And finding others who truly understand what that's like isn't easy.

If any of that resonates, this program was made for you.

Coming in Fall 2026!!

Helping the Helpers is a gathering program that rotates across reserves in Mid-Southwestern Ontario, so you learn on different lands, connect with local leaders, and build real relationships with others walking a similar path.

Each session brings together traditional teachings and healing practices, practical life skills, and honest peer conversation. This isn't a one-time workshop — it's the start of a community that stays with you.

What it costs to attend.

Most helpers attend using their professional development dollars although we are working hard to build partnerships with local communities and applying for funding so we can keep the training accessible to most. For those not currently working, we can discuss a sliding scale or other options.

Be first to know!  Session dates coming soon. Register your interest below and we'll be in touch.
