Our Story

How many of you say, "I'm not artistic, I can't create"?  So did I.

In the fall of 2022, I embarked on a transformative journey into the world of art, exploring mediums such as encaustic, acrylics, metals, inks, and resin.

I had never considered myself an artist -I can't even draw! But I kept creating despite the overwhelming inner critic. The more I created, I discovered that art brought me into the present moment, fostering mindfulness, emotional healing and even JOY! I realized I am an artist!

This awareness helped me realize the power of art and creativity for mental health and inspired me to establish Inspired by Nature in April 2023.
Employing my communication, program development, and coaching/mentoring skills, I was excited to create programs that promote opportunities for creative expression, reflection, and connection and to offer participants of all ages the safe space to be flexible, insightful, and gentle as they get lost in creativity.

The result? Even those most resistant to art found their way to creating a piece of art that they're proud of and that gives space and words to what and how they are feeling. I love my job!

Art is Medicine and it will change your life. Ready to give it a try?

I walk with those who are called to lead.
Not by title...   but by truth.
Not through ego...   but through deep ancestral purpose.
Through story, life experience, and community, I support helpers, visionaries, and changemakers to reclaim the voice they were always meant to carry.
Because when we speak from who we are, we shift everything.

Why do I do what I do?

The path of a helper is a lonely one. I know this because I've walked it for more than 35 years — as a supporter, guide, mentor, and eventually a leader and visionary — often without a community who truly understood what I was carrying.

For Indigenous helpers especially, this loneliness runs deep. You step into your role full of heart, wanting to serve your people. The work is meaningful. But the road can be isolating, and the models you've been handed weren't built with you in mind.

What I've come to understand through everything I've lived is this: Indigenous helpers don't just have the capacity to help — they have the capacity to lead. To lead in ways their communities, and the broader world, desperately needs. But many don't know this yet. The remembering takes time, and it takes the right conditions.

"God makes Gods." We carry ancient wisdom — about connection, about the land, about how to live in right relationship with one another and with ourselves. But somewhere along the way, many of us forgot. I'm here to help you remember.

Everything I do — the programs, the teachings, the coaching, the circles — is in service of that remembering. Because when a helper begins to see themselves as a leader, begins to trust what they carry, begins to operate from their whole self — something shifts. Not just in them. In the rooms they walk into. In their communities. In the people they serve.

That's what I live and breathe for.

What makes Heather's approach unique?

Heather Cabral offers a unique blend of personal experience and professional expertise to support individuals and communities through transformative journeys.
Connection to Nature and Personal Experience

Heather Cabral's rich heritage, encompassing Finnish and Algonquin roots, provides her with a profound connection to nature and a diverse cultural perspective.

Her Algonquin ancestry traces back to the Pikwakanagan First Nation near Ottawa, Ontario. Growing up disconnected from her Indigenous culture, Heather embarked on a personal journey of reconnection and healing, embracing her innate knowing and cultural heritage.

This path has shaped her empathetic approach, allowing her to authentically relate to and support others navigating their own self-discovery journeys.
Holistic and Empowering Approach

As a natural coach and champion of others, Heather possesses the ability to see the heart, potential, and possibility in everyone she meets.

Her visionary skills enable her to "pan out" and see the big picture, while her keen self-awareness and heart-centered approach make individuals feel comfortable, supported, and welcome.

Heather's sensitivity, curiosity, objectivity, and intuition help clients remove emotional barriers and embrace alternative perspectives.
Commitment to Community and Enrichment

Through "Inspired by Nature," Heather offers Indigenous-led art and wellness workshops that foster personal and collective growth.

These programs are designed to support well-being and cultural enrichment, providing participants with opportunities to engage in creative expression and holistic practices.
Heather serves as a compassionate and insightful guide during times of transition, empowering individuals and communities to unveil their inner power, embrace authentic self-expression, and navigate change with resilience and grace.
